A mining company sends one of its men out west to check on shortages that keep showing up in one of its gold mines. It turns out that the mine foreman is stealing the gold, and both he and the mining company inspector fall in love with the same girl. The foreman, however, determines that if he can't have her, no one will, and when he sees a chance to get rid of both the inspector and the girl, he goes for it.
